Sometimes A Product Truly Lives Up To Its Name

I have to admit that I love what I do.  I get to blog about some of the best products around, and every now and then the companies take notice and send me products that they want reviewed.  This was no exception.  I received the new iWow 3D adapter for iDevices from SRS, and got a chance to put it through its paces.  This seems like a wonderful opportunity for someone who is an audiophile to take a product and put it to use and see what it is truly capable of.  So what did I do?  I decided that instead of hogging all of the awesome, I would go ahead and let a few friends play around with it and give me their thoughts.  One of these friends is Holly, and here is her impressions of the iWow 3D in her own words.

"The iWow 3D is awesome, I love the sound quality, Instantly could tell the difference. No more static I used to get from just having the plain AUX cable. I even have to find myself turning the radio down from my usually settings when I use it for fear my speakers will blow! Easy as hell to use and install for the first time, actually did it while driving home from work the evening you gave it to me.I would definitely buy a product like this! . Haven't really had it long enough to comment on wear and tear factors, overall I love it sound is so Crisp and Clear almost like your sitting in the Studio with the recording artist!"
This isn't just an isolated incident.  Every person who has had an opportunity to use the iWow 3D has the same kind of reaction.  What you really need to know is that this is a product made by audiophiles, for audiophiles.  It is just as good with Johnny Cash as it is with Jonny Lang.  You can tell that SRS cares about music and the experience that the consumer will have.  The iWow is a solidly made product, and follows the general look of iDevice accessories. (see my post on the Wi-Drive for more about this)  I know it seems like it's Apple August here at the blog, but it really just so happened that these two products arrived around the same time, and the opportunity to try them worked well for me.
I think that SRS made a solid move by creating a product like this.  There may be others who will try, but the key differences are that this is not made by a soul crushing corporation.  This is a product made by people who love music just as much as you do, and want you to have the best experiences possible.  It is a sleek, compact little package that you can keep in your pocket or purse with no issues.  The build quality is nice, the color is simply the best available for ANY accessory (black!) and the company stands behind their product.  Would I recommend the iWow 3D?  Why wouldn't I?

Pros:
Nice design:  The iWow 3D simply looks like it is a product for Apple devices.
Incredibly Functional:  Read the words above.  Holly LOVES it!  It is the kind of product that you get instant gratification.  In today's world, could you ask for anything more?
Inexpensive:  At $60 this might be arguable, but for people who own $150 headphones you want to get the most out of them.  Same goes for $10 headphones.
Great software:  The optional software lets you have your moment in the sun as an audio engineer, tweaking the music to your tastes.

Cons:
A bit bulky: The iWow 3D is definitely nice looking, but it isn't something you can keep plugged in to your iDevice while it's in your pocket.
Improvements Vary By Model:  It seems to me that the newer products get the most improvements out of the iWow 3D.  So while it may work well enough with certain iDevices, your mileage may vary.

Conclusion:
If you are looking for a way to breathe new life into your audio experiences, you definitely can't go wrong with the iWow 3D

I received this product for free from SRS for the purposes of testing.  They supplied the product, I supplied the opinion.  I am not compensated for my time, nor should I be.  This article is written by me, for you.
