They say that beauty is in the eye of the beholder. At this point there should be no doubt that Nokia can make some beautiful and impressive phones. There should ALSO be no doubt that Microsoft has made an impressive piece of software with Windows Phone 7. So what would a combination of these two look like? Well, Engadget was the first to show us a picture of some of conceptual designs of these very phones!
Do you like it? I know I sure do. It has Nokia's design style, and their taste for Technicolor, with the WP7 touch. Do I miss Symbian? Not in the least bit. Nokia has come out and said that going with Android would be like admitting defeat, and Windows Phone 7 is their way of fighting back. With much rumbling on numerous boards and blogs about those very words, I say BRAVO! It's about time Nokia came back into the fight, and with a partnership like this, they are planning on coming out swinging.
I truly hope that Nokia can take this chance and be to WP7 what HTC and Motorola are to Android. It is too soon to speculate on specs, but Nokia's all-in approach should produce some phones that have the power to back up WP7's more data-intensive browser. Microsoft should also have some fantastic revisions to WP7. I, for one, and cheering for Nokia in this battle. When you have nothing left to lose, you have everything to gain.
